Elizabeth McKee, writer
Elizabeth McKee is a writer based in Los Angeles. She has worked in a number of capacities in independent film, including production, distribution (with the legendary Zeitgeist Films), and post-production (subtitle work for Zeitgeist, Kino Lorber, Criterion, and The Film Desk, among others). She also acted in Martha Stephens and Aaron Katz's LAND HO!, which won the John Cassavetes Award at the 2014 Spirit Awards.
A current Creative Writing MFA candidate at CalArts, she has taught creative writing at the Los Angeles Public Library with CalArts’ Community Arts Partnership. She is the Nonfiction Editor for the literary magazine Strip Mall. She is currently at work on a novel about female friendship, independent filmmaking, and the nature of creative labor.
